Each year the breakfast features CFL players and coaches. Over the years, speakers have included Henry Burris, Kenyon Rambo, Anthony Calvillo, Kerry Joseph, Wally Buono, Michael “Pinball” Clemons and other CFL stars.
The Grey Cup Breakfast provides photo opportunities with the Grey Cup itself, prizes and local entertainment. However, the element that makes the breakfast so unique is the fact that the players share not only football stories but also their life stories. Attendees are given a rare glimpse into the men behind the uniforms. As part of their presentations you will also hear how their faith in God has impacted both their professional and personal lives. The combination of professional, personal and spiritual elements ensures the sell out of this event each year.
Make plans now so you don't miss the Grey Cup Breakfast!
"Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven."
(Jesus, Matthew 5:16)
Light is vital to life. Without light, plants can’t grow. Without light, photographs can’t be taken. Without light, we can’t take part in any awe inspiring events such as candlelight ceremonies. As a football coach, I know that without light, evening football games can’t be played!
The Athletes’ in Action (AIA) Grey Cup 2010 Breakfast is a unique opportunity for Canadian Football League players, coaches, and dignitaries who have enjoyed a faith discovery and adventure with Jesus to “Let their light shine” and lead the way in giving glory to God. We know that one candle in the dark does not dispel the darkness but when one who holds a lighted candle shares his candle and message of light with another, many candles will be lit and eventually the darkness will be filled with light.
As chairperson of our Athletes in Action Grey Cup 2010 Breakfast committee, I would like to personally invite you to attend the Saturday, November 27th , AIA breakfast and hear positive messages of hope and light from our speakers, led by our Honorary Chairperson Patrick Kabongo and various members of the Grey Cup football teams. I look forward to joining you and hundreds of others to experience an unforgettable morning of fun, excitement, and inspiration with past and present Canadian Football League stars.
